Brief 4 - Steve Edge CV

Steve emailed me over the weekend requesting a C.V layout - and after looking through it I decided it was a publication calling out to be made. This guy has done so much stuff! It's ridiculous! And his C.V is not so much a C.V but more a life story. So after a little discussion we decided to go with a C.V/portfolio style publication that basically told the story of his career, as well as showcase some of his work.

This is a really quick turnaround brief but done well could be a fantastic portfolio filler. these are the kind of briefs that I absolutely love, it's so nice to work on projects that are so personal to someone like this.

I came up with the below examples to show him this afternoon, as I think Emma & Kyle (first round of 3rd years) did his branding originally, I thought it best to keep to the same colour scheme and rounded typeface. However we both agree that it seems a little immature for his needs, so we're going to go with Avenir for now.

There's lots wrong with both layouts - margins are all wrong and both title pages are pretty woeful. But it's enough to get the ball rolling. The whole thing should hopefully be fully laid out by the end of tomorrow and ready to print in the evening. Super.
